Standing Up for Strong Neighborhoods AND Quality Growth

I have always stood up for neighborhoods and opposed developments that hurt our quality of life – like clearcut infill, over-scaled buildings and a giant quarry next to Umstead Park.

Among leading At-Large Council candidates, I am the only one who has refused endorsements and campaign cash from pro-development Political Action Committees.

Quality growth belongs near transit, where density, affordability and environmental benefits are greatest. That is why I’ve led efforts to accelerate implementation of the Wake Transit Plan in Raleigh.

We can have strong neighborhoods and high quality growth. Help me continue fighting for you and a better Raleigh: vote Russ for City Council.
